“Maui Boy” big leaguer, Kurt Suzuki is in town to put on a free youth clinic tomorrow at Iron Maehara Stadium. In this interview with Kanoa Leahey, he talks about sharing his experience with the next generation of aspiring baseball stars and keeping true to his roots. As you can see from his tee, he’s a fan of Maui Thing :) He and his wife, Renee have also donated money for a new batting cage at his alma mater, Baldwin High School. Now that’s what we call a “Maui Thing!”

Even though he’s big time, he stays true to his roots and is always giving back to the community that raised him. Whether its with his annual charity golf tournament or visiting the Boys & Girls Club in Paukukalo, Shane’s always keeping Maui in mind.
